Pro-Transit Walker Says Legacy Needed

Nice little story in the Deseret News this morning about Paul Burnham of Kaysville walking to Salt Lake City to invite Mayor Rocky Anerson to visit him in Davis County -- if he walks, too.

Paul was a user of UTA's express bus while he worked in Salt Lake, and feels it would be a good idea to build transit first (news flash, Paul -- commuter rail will be up and running now before Legacy is completed because of lawsuit delays).

But Paul agrees that the Legacy is still needed. One more voice joining the overwhelming chorus!

Way to go Paul. Hey just to show I am a fair dude. I invite Rocky to walk to Kaysville as well. In fact for every mile he walks I will donate $5.00 to Utahns for Legacy Parkway. How about that!

Gary - thanks for the encouragement. I'll match your donation.

LegacyMan - thanks for the news flash. I understand that the light rail will be built first. I just think it is a good idea, and one that needs plenty of advertising to get people on board.
